Pride Sneak by Force in Season Finale

Veteran outfielder Trena Peel had quite the afternoon as the Force closed out their 2009 campaign Sunday afternoon at ECTB Stadium in front of 538 loyal fans and spectators. Peel, who was recognized before the start of Sunday’s game along with a special group of veteran members, went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI’s. Unfortunately, the Pride took the game and the series with a 5-4 victory.

Lower Onslow pitcher gets start against Ontario today

Nova Scotia out-hit Alberta 6-2 but couldn’t find a way to plate its baserunners. Brown was 1-for-3. Lisa Green started the contest and took the loss for Nova Scotia, working five innings and collecting a strikeout. Holly Denny finished the game with three strikeouts. Camille Czarnecki fanned eight Nova Scotia hitters.
